Ebbsfleet United: Kuwaiti group in talks over buying club

Ebbsfleet United have revealed they are in negotiations to sell the club to KEH Sports Limited, a Kuwait-based company.

The side were relegated from Blue Square Bet Premier in April after finishing 23rd in the table, 15 points adrift of safety.

They recently settled a tax bill with HM Revenue and Customs but still owe in excess of £25,000.

A statement on the team's website read: "These negotiations are subject to due diligence and shareholder approval."

It added: "Shareholder representatives and club directors today entered negotiations with KEH Sports Limited (a subsidiary of Kuwaiti European Holdings) for the sale of Ebbsfleet United Football Club.

"Brian Kilcullen is representing the minority shareholders and Mark Curtis is representing majority shareholder MyFootballClub.

"In addition to their approval, 75% of all current members of MyFootballClub must vote in favour before a sale can be completed."
