Rob Jones extends Doncaster Rovers contract

Doncaster Rovers player-coach Rob Jones has extended his contract until 2015.

The 33-year-old defender joined Rovers in the summer from Sheffield Wednesday and has made 48 appearances so far this season, scoring eight goals.

He joined the coaching staff at the Keepmoat Stadium after manager Dean Saunders left the club for Wolves at the start of January.

Jones told the club website:  "I'm delighted, it's been a good season for me both on the field and off."

Doncaster will win automatic promotion back to the Championship if they avoid defeat at Brentford, the team immediately below them in the League One table, on Saturday.
