Michael Owen looks back at his career highs and lows

Former England striker Michael Owen looks back on his career and admits his decision to retire at the end of this season was "very tough".

Owen has scored 220 goals in his club career, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup (three times) and Uefa Cup. He was also named European Footballer of the Year in 2001 - the first Englishman to achieve the accolade since Kevin Keegan in 1979.

The 33-year-old says the response to his decision has been "very touching" but he is looking forward to a "new chapter" in his life.

He also says he has "not closed the door on management".
