Livingston 4-1 Airdrie Utd

Livingston comfortably won their first match under Richie Burke to worsen Airdrie United's relegation fears.

Head of youth development Burke was placed in charge of the first team following the midweek departure of Gareth Evans and director of football John Collins.

And Livi could have fallen behind when Airdrie were awarded an early penalty following Jesus Garcia Tena's foul on Jamie Bain.

However, John Boyle blazed his spot-kick over and Anthony Andreu fired the hosts ahead with a low drive on 21 minutes.

Andreu's spectacular shot and Iain Russell's strike moved Livi into a 3-0 half-time lead.

The visitors had Sean Lynch dismissed after he picked up two bookings and Stefan Scougall's composed 12-yard finish extended the home side's advantage.

Boyle netted a late consolation with a shot into the bottom corner.
