Leyton Orient kept their faint League One play-off hopes alive with a win at struggling Shrewsbury.
The hosts started well, striker Chris Porter heading Dave McAllister's cross narrowly past the post.
Orient then took the lead on 33 minutes when Dean Cox crossed for French defender Matthieu Baudry to head home.
Orient enjoyed their first win in eight visits to Shrewsbury. Their last victory was a 2-1 triumph at the old Meadow in December 1997, when Dean Smith got the O's winner.
Kevin Lisbie, who had a first-half effort ruled out for offside, sealed victory from the spot after McAllister fouled Romaine Vincelot.
Shrewsbury's third straight defeat leaves them still four points clear of trouble, but 21st-placed Oldham Athletic have two games in hand,
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:
"We've hit a flat spot with three consecutive defeats, but there's no point ranting and raving and peeling the paint off the dressing room walls.
"We had efforts on goal - but we weren't particularly convincing and, when we concede goals like we have done, we won't win any game.
"We didn't set ourselves up. The goal after half time was just bad timing - it killed off the inspiration.
"No one is going to help us out in this league. We now have MK Dons on Tuesday night. We have to lift ourselves, but we are capable of going away to win."
Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9:
"In the last five to 10 minutes we were still pressing them and that was excellent.
"They are a big side, a physical one, and we felt if we stopped crosses and set plays we were bright enough to open them up.
"Kevin Lisbie is onside. He produced a fine finish and for it not to be given is a woeful decision.
"But his ability is great. He is so elusive he could lose someone in a telephone box."
