Alan Connell's penalty in the seventh-minute of injury time salvaged a point for Bradford against Aldershot Town.

Visiting keeper Jamie Young twice saved well from Zavon Hines early on and tipped a 20-yard Gary Jones shot over.

However, Shots took a half-time lead when Kieron Cadogan's 25-yard free-kick found its way into the far corner.

Bradford dominated the second half but the visitors looked set to hold on before Terrell Forbes tripped Hines and Connell converted the penalty.

The draw extended Shots' unbeaten run to six, with Bradford unbeaten in four since losing the League Cup final in February.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Aldershot Town manager Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:

"We were so close, and we defended so well, the lads gave everything and put their bodies on the line.

"They were out on their feet the lads and we had tired legs and tired minds and you make decisions that probably cost us.

"The energy levels, the organisation, the commitment was terrific and this is always a tough place to go.

"They've had four players on the bench that started the League Cup final. But we battle on and believe in ourselves."
