Yeovil remained in the play-off places and Hartlepool in the bottom four of League One after they played out a goalless draw.

The visitors went close when Paddy Madden thundered an angled drive off the underside of the crossbar, which bounced off the goalline to safety.

Ritchie Humphreys then curled a shot wide for Pools right on half-time.

Their best chance came when Antony Sweeney broke clear, but he put his shot too close keeper Marek Stech.

The point left Hartlepool six short adrift of Scunthorpe, who are immediately above the relegation places, with the Glovers remaining in fifth spot in the play-off race, three points behind the top two.
