Oxford United fear lengthy Justin Richards absence
Oxford United have confirmed forward Justin Richards is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The club told BBC Oxford on Wednesday Richards has torn his cruciate ligament and he will have a second scan this week to confirm the issue.
It could mean that 32-year-old Richards is out for around six months, joining Peter Leven and Ryan Clarke as long-term absentees at the Kassam Stadium.
Richards signed for the U's in January from Burton but is yet to score.
