York City: Burton's McGrath and Aldershot's Rankine join on loan

York City have signed Burton Albion midfielder John McGrath and Aldershot Town striker Michael Rankine on loan.

McGrath, 32, has signed initially until 11 March and goes straight into the squad for Tuesday's game against Gillingham.

Rankine, 28, has joined until the end of the season and York are awaiting Football League clearance.

It is Rankine's second spell at Bootham Crescent - he scored 24 goals in 103 games between 2009 and 2011.
