Smith smarts over penalty appeal
Barry Smith believes his Dundee side should have been awarded a penalty in the goalless draw with Kilmarnock.
The hosts appealed for a spot kick when Ross Barbour appeared to tug John Baird.
"I think it's a definite penalty," said Smith. "Baird's been held back in the area. Anywhere else on the park, it's a foul. So why in the box?
"I thought we did enough to win. We hit the post and had another cleared off the line."
Smith said he was delighted his side had kept a clean sheet at Dens Park and challenged his players to discover their shooting boots.
"Now it's about building on that and sticking the ball away," he added.
Dundee are bottom of the SPL table, 11 points behind St Mirren.
