Brentford sign Wigan Athletic's Rob Kiernan on loan

Brentford have completed the signing of Wigan Athletic defender Rob Kiernan on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old played seven games during a loan spell with the Bees earlier this season.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international can play in central defence or in midfield.

Kiernan has not featured for the Latics since joining in summer 2011 after leaving Watford. He will stay at Griffin Park until 9 February.
