Jimmy Keohane hopes for more Exeter City goals

Exeter City midfielder Jimmy Keohane hopes he can score more often for the club after getting his first ever professional goal at York City.

The 21-year-old Irishman, who signed a one-year deal last summer, got the winner in the 2-1 victory at Bootham Crescent in League Two.

"Now I've got my first I'd like to get a few more," he told BBC Radio Devon.

"I've got a few in the reserves and hopefully I can carry them into the first team now."

Keohane joined Exeter in August 2011 after being released by Bristol City.

He made his debut as a substitute in the club's 3-1 Carling Cup defeat by Liverpool in August 2011 and has featured in every match since the end of November.

"It's good to get a run of games and hopefully I can keep doing well and get a few more goals and we can improve at home.

"If we can get a few wins there we'd certainly be around the top of the table .

"Wins at home would give us the confidence to start to improve, that's what it as about really."
