AFC Wimbledon recorded back-to-back league wins for the first time this season as they won at Rochdale to move out of the relegation zone.

After their win at Torquay on Tuesday, the Dons almost fell behind when Bobby Grant's free-kick struck the crossbar.

The visitors went ahead in the second half when Paul McCallum side-footed in after Dale partially cleared a corner.

McCallum had another ruled out for offside, before the hosts had Joe Rafferty sent off for two bookings.

And the Dons held on to move above managerless Plymouth and Bristol Rovers in the League Two table.

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

"With two away games on the trot you'd be happy with four points let alone six.

"We had a game plan and we worked hard at it.

"We had a 20-minute spell where the quality flowed and we took our chances.

"We did it, we got that goal and our fortunes favoured better quality on the ball."
