Portsmouth's League One game at Hartlepool was called off after heavy rain led to a waterlogged pitch.
The Victoria Park surface was deemed unplayable at 08:00 GMT on Saturday by referee Darren Bond.
"There's standing water and it's soggy underneath," he said. "Speaking to the groundsman and looking at the forecast, it's only going to get worse."
Hartlepool boss John Hughes said: "I share the disappointment of the Portsmouth fans with the travel costs."
