Striker Kevin Lisbie scored either side of half-time to give Leyton Orient victory against improving Bury.

Visiting defender Mathieu Baudry cleared Zac Thompson's effort off the line and Russell Slade's Orient were in front shortly afterwards.

Lisbie received a pass from Dean Cox, held off a challenge from Matt Doherty and fired into the corner of the net.

And the veteran front man added a second after the interval, poking in Lee Cook's corner to secure the win.

Bury manager Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I thought we gave two soft goals away, and if you miss three or four great chances, you can't win games.

"I didn't think we were as good as we have been of late, but the chances we've created should be food and drink for a striker and we've missed them.

"There was no need to lose that game today and, as a professional, you want to win every game. I'm no different to anybody else."

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9:

"I thought it was a really honest and a real professional performance.

"We were ready for them. We knew it was going to be a difficult game. They close you down very quickly and put you under pressure."

"I thought we were so prepared for it and it was great the way it turned out."
