Carlisle suffered a heavy home defeat against Leyton Orient, with all the goals coming in a frantic first half.

David Mooney nodded Dean Cox's cross against the post but tapped in the rebound to open the scoring, before Peter Murphy's header levelled it.

But Orient restored their lead a minute later when Ben Chorley got the final touch on Lee Cook's corner.

Cook tapped home to make it 3-1 and some poor defending allowed Mooney to race clear and net his second.

Three half-time substitutions gave Carlisle some impetus in the second half but they failed to find a way back in to the game.

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9:

"It was a great first half from us. So often we've promised so much in the final third and not delivered.

"Today, all that came together in one half and it could have been more even in the first half.

"Carlisle put up a spirited display in the second half and it is never easy.

"All in all, if you travel to Carlisle and come away with three points that's great."
