Crewe manager Steve Davis looks back on successful first year

Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis reflects on his first year in charge at Gresty Road with BBC Radio Stoke sports editor Graham McGarry.

Saturday marks the anniversary of Davis being appointed as successor to the long-serving Dario Gradi.

Davis took over with the Alex lying 18th in League Two, but they were to lose just four of their remaining 32 League Two matches as they won promotion via the play-offs.

And despite the summer departures of Nick Powell (Manchester United) and Ashley Westwood (Aston Villa), Davis's young side are still making progress, standing 14th in League One, just seven points off a play-off place.
