Preston advanced relatively untroubled into the second round of the FA Cup with victory over 10-man Yeovil.
Paddy Madden, who
extended his loan at the Glovers this week,
almost sent the visitors in front, but his long-range effort was saved by Steve Simonsen.
Joel Byrom then fired North End ahead, before David Amoo broke clear and rounded the keeper to make it 2-0.
And Ed Upson's red on the hour for the visitors paved the way for Chris Robertson's header to complete the win.

Preston manager Graham Westley told BBC Radio Lancashire:
"It was an ugly performance and not the most convincing, but we did enough to do the job and put ourselves in the hat.
"They were looking vulnerable on the counter attack and it was no surprise that the first two goals came from counter attacks.
"They were very well taken by Joel and David and very well created.
"The lads know themselves that they're not happy with the way they played, but we've done the job and that's the important thing."
Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset:
"We're out the Cup and we are really disappointed. Those who aren't disappointed, we'll find out who they are and move them on.
"I did ask if they were up for the Cup and they all said they were, but some of their body language didn't look like it.
"I don't think they go out not to play well, but I think their personalities need to turn from being OK to winners."
