Chris Sharp's fine strike earned AFC Telford a point against Alfreton in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

The Bucks had keeper Ryan Young to thank after he did well to twice deny Reds striker Ben Tomlinson early on.

But Tomlinson finally got the better of Young just before the break when he was sent clear and coolly slotted home.

Telford pressed for a leveller and got it when Sharp turned on the edge of the box, and unleashed an unstoppable drive to earn his side a point.

AFC Telford United manager Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"I am disappointed to not get all three points. It's a tough place to come and they were on a good run.

"We never got going with the ball, and were too deep.

"But our two substitutes came on and we got the reaction I wanted."
