England goalkeeper Joe Hart admits fault for Poland equaliser
Joe Hart took responsibility for conceding the equaliser which deprived England of all three points against Poland in their World Cup qualifier.
Wayne Rooney's deflected header had put the visitors ahead in Warsaw but Hart then failed to punch clear a corner, allowing Kamil Glik to nod home.

"I came and didn't get there and the lad did a decent header," Hart said.
"It's my fault. I should have punched it or stayed in goal. I didn't do either and it cost us."
The Manchester City goalkeeper added: "They were knocking on the door, but it was never going to open unless there was a mistake."
England are currently top of Group H by one point from Montenegro and three points ahead of Poland, but manager Roy Hodgson's side have played a game more.
Gerrard: We have ourselves to blame
The match against Poland had been rearranged from the previous day because of heavy rain and England captain Steven Gerrard believes the home nation coped better with the tricky conditions.
"I think time will tell if it's a decent point," he said.
"The lads are disappointed. We know we can play better. After taking the lead we should have seen the game out.
"Our points tally could be a lot better, but this is a tough place to come. I thought they handled the pitch a bit better than us."

When Zaha gets in the squad we will have an almighty winger

A few things I noticed in this game.... England had no pace anywhere on the pitch. No left midfielder. Almost every meaningful attack for both teams was down the right hand side. No movement of players in the first half in particular and massive gaps between defence midfield and attack. Amazingly dour 4-4-2 tactics and very few positives looking ahead. Arent these all the same issues since 2006?

and going back to what 173 said your spot on, i think roy needs to look at chelsea as an example, beat the minnows efficiently and then when the big games come along soak up the pressure and pick them off on counter attack. this is englands best option as we are never going to run a game like spain, but we have to utilize players with pace and unpredictability. and never play carrol!

173 /174 i agree with you both, yes too many slow predictable players in the team, why is milner even in the squad?? he is just terrible. although defensively i think we are strong, once either smalling or jones builds a longterm partnership with cahill i think we will be solid and lescott although error prone is decent cover

I thought England were poor, a decent side would have comfortably beaten Poland after taking the lead. Too many tired old legs in the back 4 and central midfield. We've got to stop playing players who aren't playing regularly for their club(Milner & Lescott)
