A quick-fire Daniel Nardiello brace turned the game on its head as Rotherham came from behind to beat Morecambe in League Two.

The hosts had dominated the opening exchanges but fell behind when former Miller Kevin Ellison latched on to Jack Redshaw's pass and fired in.

Kari Arnason and Lee Frecklington saw shots blocked for Steve Evans's side.

But Nardiello turned home Arnason's cross for 1-1 before winning it with a powerful finish just seconds later.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans tells BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I think the performance was excellent from start to finish.

"To go in 1-0 down at half-time, I felt for the players, but you have to be quite strict with them and get them going again in the second half.

"I think a fair reflection would have been 3-1 at half-time.

"But there's going to be games like this and it's about what's inside you. It's not about ability then, it's about what's in your heart."

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"We came with a game plan and we know what to expect because they're a good side.

"It was all going to plan but then they put us under an unbelievable amount of pressure.

"Their crowd were just getting on their back when they got a lucky ricochet that fell straight their man in the six-yard box. I don't think he could miss.

"My only disappointment is that we conceded straight away after that, when the crowd were up. That's when we've got to make sure one doesn't become two, but it did."
