Bolton Wanderers sack manager Owen Coyle

Bolton Wanderers have sacked manager Owen Coyle after winning only three of their 10 matches this season.

The Trotters, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are currently 18th in the Championship.

Coyle left Burnley in January 2010 to take charge at the Reebok Stadium on a two-and-a-half-year deal. Mick McCarthy and Roy Keane have emerged as candidates to succeed Coyle, as BBC Sport's Drew Savage reports.
