Alan Shearer open to Blackburn manager vacancy

BBC pundit Alan Shearer admits he would be speak to the owners about the current managerial vacancy at Blackburn Rovers if they were to call him, although he says he has not been approached yet and "things would have to change" at the club.

Blackburn were relegated to the Championship last season, and are without a manager after Steve Kean quit, saying his position had become "untenable" with the owners Venky's.

Speaking on Football Focus, Shearer - who won the 1994-95 Premiership with Rovers - says he hopes the problems can be resolved soon as they are "a lovely football club".
