Danny Higginbotham joins Ipswich on loan from Stoke
Ipswich Town have signed defender Danny Higginbotham on a month's loan from Stoke City.
The 33-year-old goes straight into the Blues' squad for Saturday's game against Charlton.
"He will bring a wealth of experience to the squad and we're obviously delighted to have him with us," said Ipswich manager Paul Jewell.
Higginbotham began his career at Manchester United and has since played for Derby, Southampton and Stoke.
He has made 109 league appearances for the Potters, scoring 11 goals, and also spent three months on loan at Nottingham Forest last season.
"We have been trying to add to our options at the back for a while and Danny has been on our radar through the summer," added Jewell.
