Phil Walsh's second-half header secured Ebbsfleet a point at home to Woking.

The hosts went ahead in the eighth minute when Joe Howe coolly tucked in a pass from Nathan Elder.

Jack Parkinson prodded Woking level from close range and Brett Johnson's header from Adam Newton's cross put them ahead.

Ebsfleet goalkeeper Preston Edwards saved from Kevin Betsy and it proved crucial as Walsh nodded in Ben Greenhalgh's corner.

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent:

"It was a good point for us, we had a good second-half comeback on Saturday and didn't get anything out of it but today the lads worked hard, stuck together, confidence was low, we lifted them and they went out and had a good go at it and got what they deserve.

"Maybe we were unlucky not to get all three but it's a start.

"People are having their say in the stand, you can hear it, I understand their frustration but the lads need their support, you have to lift them up a bit, and they deserved that today, there were some big performances today."

Woking manager Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:

"I think it was definitely two points dropped and I think at the end of the day it was down to ourselves and when we reflect on the match we can't complain.

"We got two quick goals and dominated for long periods and I was very happy at half-time.

"I just felt the second half was more about us continuing the good work and being on the front foot and winning the game."
