New Coventry City manager Mark Robins got an idea of the task ahead of him as the Sky Blues lost at home to Carlisle.

Danny Cadamarteri opened the scoring from the spot, although the penalty award was controversial, following an alleged foul on the Cumbrians striker.

David McGoldrick levelled when he headed in Carl Baker's deep cross.

But Danny Livesey nodded in the winner following some poor defending, while McGoldrick and Cody McDonald both hit the post for the Sky Blues late on.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire:

"You look to your players try to and take the game to them when you're at home, and we just let them have a day out, and a nice day out, and that's something that's got to stop. You saw people taking the easy options, and that's what we've got to change. Those who want to be at this fantastic football club are going to have to step up to the plate quickly.

"We're hiding the fact that we've got a lack of confidence and a lack of belief. The players are better than that, and I'm sure the supporters have heard that before. But, if players can't do something about that then we'll have to change things.

"I was pleased with how we got back into the game, but I thought we were a sort of nearly team, and it's not great to be a nearly team, so we've got to change that quickly. I think you'll see it might be slightly different against Arsenal at the Emirates. I'll pick a side that I want to go and have a go."
