The League Managers' Association has announced that Nick Barmby and Hull City have resolved their differences surrounding Barmby's sacking.
Barmby, 38, was removed from his position in May.
A statement said: "Barmby left Hull after comments made to the media about the club's transfer policy and accepts these could have been misconstrued.
"The club now accepts that he did not have any intention of disparaging the club or its owners."
Barmby left the Tigers with a record of 13 victories from his 33 games in charge at the KC Stadium after
The club's owners, the Allams,
replaced him with Steve Bruce the following month.
The Tigers are currently fifth in the Championship after four matches.
