Rangers remain in search of a first away league win of the season after Annan Atheltic claimed a point at Galabank.
The visitors lost David Templeton early on and Annan could have taken the lead through Jack Steele after the break.
Annan coped well against the Rangers attack, who only really imposed themselves late in the match.
And a stunning last-minute save by Alex Mitchell denied Lee McCulloch a winner for Ally McCoist's side.
The Ibrox side continue their unbeaten run in all competitions this season but sit fourth in the Scottish Third Division table, a point behind joint-leaders Elgin City, Peterhead and Queen's Park.
Rangers could not force a goal at Galabank
Annan sit eighth and their record attendance of 2,517 was enabled by the summer installation of terracing behind a second goal.
And the home fans had plenty to be proud of as Steven Swinglehurst and Peter Watson marshalled the defence admirably on the artificial surface.
Templeton crumpled to the ground holding his left ankle without anyone near him as he ran with the ball down the wing and the former Hearts player was soon carried off.
Francisco Sandaza was introduced and the Spaniard forced a save from Mitchell after connecting with Dean Shiels' pass.
Steele ran on to a loose ball 10 minutes after the break and found himself through on goal, only to drag his shot wide.
Mitchell denied Sandaza again and the keeper threw himself across his line to keep out McCulloch's half volley in the closing stages.
