Anthony O'Connor extends Burton Albion loan stay

Burton Albion have extended the loan deal of Blackburn Rovers defender Anthony O'Connor.

The defender initially joined on a one-month contract in August, but will now be with the Brewers until 12 January.

The 19-year-old, who has made six appearances, told the club website: "I'm delighted. It's been brilliant. I've felt as though I've done well.

"I had to get out and play first-team football and I feel I'm a better player already from the time I've been here."
