Crystal Palace sign ex-Ipswich defender Damien Delaney

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of defender Damien Delaney on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old, who left Ipswich Town by mutual consent on Thursday, has signed a short-term contract at Selhurst Park.

The former Hull and QPR man, who has won five caps for the Republic of Ireland, made over 100 appearances during three seasons with Ipswich.

Delaney is available for Saturday's game at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
