Brechin City 2-1 East Fife
Andrew Jackson was on target again for Brechin City as his double helped beat East Fife in their Division Two game at Glebe Park.
The 24-year-old striker had scored three goals for the Hedgemen already this season and scored another two in two minutes to get the hosts off to a flyer.
Scott Dalziel released Jackson to score the game's opener after 11 minutes and the former St Johnstone man made no mistake with a left-footed finish.
Brechin's number nine was on hand to double their advantage moments later with an almost identical finish.
Jackson almost secured his hat-trick soon after, but he had his 34th-minute strike tipped round the post by Fifers' goalkeeper Michael Brown.
Gareth Wardlaw gave the visitors the chance to rescue a late point when he headed Scott McBride's cross into the back of the net 12 minutes from the end, but Brechin held on.
