Southport beat Hyde for their first win of the season as both teams ended up with 10 men.

The Sandgrounders led when Chris Almond's corner evaded everyone and ended up in the net.

Adam Griffin had a good double chance for Hyde and was made to pay for squandering it when Steven Tames drilled home from the edge of the box.

With 12 minutes left, Alan Moogan fouled Griffin and the pair were both sent off for the resulting clash.
