Late goals from both John McCombe and Tom Pope gave Port Vale victory away at Morecambe.

Vale took the lead inside a minute when Louis Dodds's shot rebounded out to Sam Morsy, who fired home.

Morecambe levelled when Kevin Ellison cut inside and unleashed a curling strike inside the post.

But in the dying moments of the game, McCombe headed home Morsy's corner to put Vale back in front, before Pope's close-range effort made sure.
