Van Persie, who completed his £24m move from Arsenal to Manchester United on Friday, has scored five goals for his country in major finals - his first coming in the 2006 World Cup with a brilliant free-kick against the Ivory Coast.

The Netherlands international scored 44 goals in 57 games for club and country last season.
