Aldershot Town sign goalkeeper Glenn Morris

Aldershot Town have completed the signing of former Southend goalkeeper Glenn Morris on a six-month deal.

The 28-year-old will provide cover for Jamie Young as Ross Worner has had an operation on a back injury.

Manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey: "Glenn arrives to help us as a number two but things can change.

"He was down at Portsmouth but circumstances there affected his opportunity. It's a win-win [scenario] for both of us."

He added: "Ross is a big loss to us but it gives us time to get him fully recovered, back and pushing for a place."
