Plymouth Argyle keeper Jake Cole made two key saves as their meeting with Dagenham & Redbridge ended in stalemate at Victoria Road.

Cole twice saved first-half efforts from Dwight Gayle at point-blank range as the Daggers dominated.

The Pilgrims never really looked like notching their first goal of the league campaign, Matt Lecointe's late first-half effort proving their only chance.

But, in the end, both sides had to settle for a first point of the season.

The Daggers were beaten at Cheltenham on Saturday, while Argyle lost at home to Aldershot.
