MK Dons came from behind to draw at Bournemouth, despite having a man sent off for the third successive game.

The Cherries went ahead when Charlie Daniels' cross-shot allowed Lewis Grabban to net his first for the club.

The Dons were soon reduced to 10 men when Alan Smith was shown a straight red card for a lunge at Harry Arter.

After the break, Daniel Powell fed Dean Bowditch, who scuffed his shot wide, but then returned the favour for Powell to fire the leveller past Shwan Jalal.

As the Cherries pressed for a winner, Lee Barnard, on loan from Southampton, had a fierce shot tipped over by David Martin while Steve Cook headed against the bar from a corner, but the points were shared.

MK Dons were without summer signing Antony Kay, who was suspended after being sent off against Oldham.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"That's as good a 10-man performance as you're going to see - against a team who are spending four or five times more than us.

"The two centre-halves were magnificent, a makeshift partnership with Chicksen moving to left-back, and Jon Otsemobor, who's not fit, put a fantastic right-back performance in.

"There's a number of scenarios that I can't protect my players over and I won't protect them, but Smithy today and Stephen Gleeson against Cheltenham, I've got to because they're not sendings off - it's the referee and linesmen's judgment against our challenges.

"We've got a referee coming in next week to go through them all and say what is and what isn't, but when there's been tackles against you over the last three games that were worse than the ones you've been penalised for, it's hard for our players to accept it."
