Wrexham goalkeeper Joslain Mayebi played the roles of villain and hero as the visitors drew at Ebbsfleet in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

The visitors went ahead through Johnny Hunt's left-footed strike following good work by Dean Keates.

Fleet levelled when Mayebi's error allowed Liam Enver-Marum to score from 20 yards.

But Mayebi made amends when he saved Moses Ashikodi's late penalty after Martin Riley handled.

Wrexham manager Andy Morrell told BBC Radio Wales: "A bit disappointed. We weren't great at the start but we are going to expect that from teams away from home - teams are going to come at you. We weathered it. Then I thought we had the better of the half.

"In the second half we get the goal early on - I think we were cruising and the game's dead 1-0, and then we go and make a ridiculous error again at the back. Josi [Mayebi], don't know what he's doing and concedes a goal and puts us on the back foot again then we are under pressure again.

"I don't think it was penalty, Josi redeems himself a little bit for saving it, but I think we would be walking away here with a 1-0.

"Josi has to learn quick. He was brilliant last year... but he has got to cut the errors out. If he cuts out the errors he has got a massive future in the game."

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent:

"My lads showed a lot of character and in those sort of conditions you feel it doubly when you go down.

"We had chances to go ahead, we haven't taken them, but we have come out with a point against a team who should be around the promotion places.

"But when you think of the missed penalty it's two points dropped.

"We haven't missed a penalty to get a draw, we've missed a penalty to get a win, we've got something against a decent team and both teams deserve credit today in difficult conditions."
