Cheltenham Town sign ex-Everton goalkeeper Connor Roberts
Cheltenham Town have signed former Everton goalkeeper Connor Roberts.
Manager Mark Yates had voiced his intention to sign a new keeper as cover for Scott Brown, who competed for a place with Birmingham loanee Jack Butland last season.
Wrexham-born Roberts, 19, has been on trial at Whaddon Road and has impressed enough to earn a one-year deal.
He had been with the Blues for four years and previously had loan spells at Burscough and Colwyn Bay.
Roberts, who represented Wales at Under-16 and Under-17 level, will start on the bench for Cheltenham's League Cup tie with MK Dons on Saturday.
