Brechin City 1-0 Albion Rovers
Andrew Jackson's 16th-minute strike earned Brechin a home win over Albion Rovers on the opening day of the Second Division.
Jackson latched onto Jonathan Stewart's cross to drive a shot into the bottom left-hand corner from 12 yards.
David McKenna went close to adding a second for the home side in the 58th minute when his close-range effort was fumbled by Rovers goalkeeper Chris McCluskey, but the visitors managed to scramble the ball away to safety.
Then just after the hour mark Jonathan Brown's free-kick from 20 yards flew narrowly over the visitors' crossbar.
Rovers struggled to create clear-cut chances. The closest they came was from the left foot of Gary Phillips, who was twice just off target with free-kicks from outside the penalty area.
