Two first-half goals from Stuart Fleetwood gave Luton Town a victory at Kidderminster Harriers.

The Hatters broke the deadlock when, after a fine passing move, Fleetwood slotted underneath the keeper.

Fleetwood then produced a stunning curling effort inside the far post to double the visitors' advantage.

Kidderminster did have their chances, but both Exodus Geohaghon and Anthony Malbon shot over when they could have done better.

Fleetwood nearly grabbed a hat-trick, but, following good work from Ron Henry, the striker's chipped effort hit the crossbar.

Kidderminster manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"The two goals we gave away were down to clinical finishing and that was obviously the difference tonight.

"We had umpteen chances, particularly in the second half, and wasted a lot of good opportunities to score.

"I thought the defining moment in the game was just before half-time when Marvin [Johnson] has gone through and from where we are it looks like it's a clear-cut penalty.

"It's not sour grapes but you just want [the officials] to do their job and that was a big moment in the game."

Luton manager Paul Buckle told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"I'm thrilled and elated for the players because I did give them a rollicking on Saturday after the game [against Gateshead].

"They got a dressing-down and rightly so, but we're all in it together and I blamed myself as well.

"We turned up from minute one and I always felt it looked like we were going to win the game.

"Fleet's done his job - I had a long chat with him before the game, we spoke about him playing on the shoulder and doing what he does best, getting in behind."
