Northampton Town sign Wigan Athletic's Lee Nicholls

Northampton Town have signed goalkeeper Lee Nicholls on loan from Premier League side Wigan Athletic until the end of October.

The 19-year-old England youth international has yet to feature for the Latics but played nine times on loan at Accrington Stanley last season.

Boss Aidy Boothroyd told the club website:  "We needed a keeper who has talent and Football League experience.

"He is a good keeper, he did well at this level last season."
