Oxford United 1-2 Cardiff City

Filip Kiss and Peter Whittingham were the scorers as Cardiff City beat Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

Whittingham gave Cardiff the lead on 16 minutes, scoring with a free-kick from 25 yards after Kiss had been fouled by Adam Chapman.

Kiss doubled Cardiff's lead in the second half when he pounced on a loose ball after Ryan Clarke had saved Whittingham's effort.

Alfie Potter pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining.
