Doncaster Rovers sign defender Rob Jones

Doncaster Rovers have signed defender Rob Jones following his release by Sheffield Wednesday.

The 32-year-old left the Owls by mutual consent on Monday and has now signed a two-year deal with Dean Saunders' League One side.

"There's an abundance of good players here, all with Championship pedigree," he told the club website. 

"This was an option that excited me and gives me a chance to play in a great stadium for a good fanbase."
