Two second-half goals secured victory for Falkirk against Elgin City in the first round of the Scottish Communities League Cup.

There were few chances in the first half, Elgin goalkeeper John Gibson saving from Jay Fulton.

Stephen Kingsley slotted the Bairns' opener on 67 minutes after being set up by substitute Blair Alston.

And Lyle Taylor made sure of the win with a volley past Gibson late on.
