Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has signed for Real Sociedad

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has completed his permanent transfer to Real Sociedad.

The Mexico international, 23, has not played for the Gunners since January 2011 and spent last season on loan at the La Liga club.

"Arsenal can confirm that Carlos Vela has completed a permanent move to Real Sociedad for an undisclosed fee," said the Arsenal  website.

Vela scored 16 times for Arsenal since joining from Guadalajara in 2006.

He also spent time on loan at Salamanca, Osasuna and West Brom.
