A superb double from captain Cristiano Ronaldo sends Portugal through to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 and Netherlands out of the competition.
Real Madrid's Ronaldo struck twice as Portugal dominated the game in the aftermath of Rafael van der Vaart's curled opener for the Netherlands.
Portugal will now play play Group A winners Czech Republic in the last eight, while the Dutch will be left to reflect on a tournament in which they have lost all three of their matches, just two years after finishing as World Cup runners-up.
