AFC Telford United striker Adam Proudlock turns down new deal

AFC Telford striker Adam Proudlock has turned down a new deal at the Bucks Head after an injury-truncated season, having recovered from a broken ankle.

"Through no fault of his or ours, Adam spent time injured last season," boss Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"The deal we put forward reflected that. But I'll speak to Adam again. The deal's certainly not dead."

Proudlock, 31, made eight Blue Square Bet Premier appearances late on last season, scoring just once.

The Bucks had offered the former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Clyde, Nottingham Forest, Tranmere Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town, Stockport County, Darlington and Grimsby Town striker a contract which includes incentives for the number of games he played.

Shropshire lad Proudlock, who resurrected his career with Telford under former Wolves team-mate Sinton in 2010, has never been a regular, but he did help the Bucks win promotion to the Conference in 2011.
