Euro 2012: how to follow the tournament on the BBC

The 2012 Uefa European Football Championship begins on Friday, 8 June and the BBC will bring you comprehensive coverage of the tournament on all of its platforms.

TELEVISION

Who will win Euro 2012?

The BBC will show a guaranteed 16 live matches, including a potential England quarter-final, both semi-finals and the final.

Gary Lineker will lead the coverage on BBC One and BBC HD and will be joined in the studio by Match of the Day regulars Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer and Lee Dixon.

The team will also be joined by former Netherlands international Clarence Seedorf for the group stages, while Germany World Cup winner Jurgen Klinsmann will join the team later in the tournament.

Guy Mowbray, Simon Brotherton, Jonathan Pearce and Steve Wilson make up our commentary team in Poland and Ukraine.

Jake Humphrey will be on location to capture the excitement of the tournament, with Dan Walker providing further reports from on site.

Gabby Logan will bring all the news and updates direct from the England camp, while Damian Johnson will be following the Republic of Ireland team.

Match of the Day 2 presenter Colin Murray hosts the regular highlights shows.

During the tournament there will be a special series of 10 World Football Focus programmes from the host countries presented by Dan Walker - available on BBC World News, online and via the Red Button .

The BBC News Channel will also bring you regular sports news updates from Euro 2012 throughout the day and in the Sportsday programme at 18:30 BST.

RADIO

Every match will be covered live on BBC Radio 5 live, with 5 live sports extra sharing the coverage on the days of the final round of group matches, which start at the same time

Mark Pougatch is the presenter in Poland and Ukraine, with Mark Chapman and Colin Murray hosting 5 live programmes from the Salford studios.

Alan Green and Mike Ingham lead the radio commentary team - and they will be joined by analysts Chris Waddle, Graham Taylor, Danny Mills, Pat Nevin, Kevin Kilbane and Jan Molby. A numer of other special guests will also be on hand throughout the tournament.

Nicky Campbell will be also following England for 5 live Breakfast.

In addition, there will be video clips of goals and highlights from every game, while the iPlayer will allow users to watch live BBC games online up to seven days after transmission.

Chief football writer Phil McNulty will provide comment and analysis throughout the tournament from Poland and Ukraine alongside the regular line-up of BBC Sport pundits and commentators.
