Rotherham defender Michael Raynes leaves by mutual consent
Rotherham defender Michael Raynes has left the club by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old was placed on the transfer list earlier this month but the club have chosen to terminate his contract instead.
Boss Steve Evans told the club website: "I can confirm that after a meeting between Michael and chief operating officer Paul Douglas both parties have agreed to part."
The Millers signed defenders Ian Sharps and Nicky Hunt on Tuesday.
Raynes made 36 appearances for the club after joining from Scunthorpe last summer and had one year of his contract left to run.
